CLEANER

Mylor Yacht Harbour’s passionate housekeeping team are seeking a new cleaner to join them in bringing wonderful experiences to our customers. This is a permanent position working one day per week.

The successful candidate will need to be a motivated and friendly person with good customer care skills and a keen eye for detail.

The role includes:

· Cleaning of the company offices, front of house areas and kitchens

· Onsite shower block and public toilets and launderette.

This position is a regular 1 day per week covering Sunday, with a minimum of 7 hours per week. Some flexibility is preferred, to assist with covering holiday and additional hours at busy times.

Some lone working is required as well working alongside other teams and departments. Experience in a similar role is essential, as well as high standards and an eye for detail.

There is no direct public transport to Mylor Yacht Harbour and we are about 3.5 miles from Penryn so having your own transport is important.

MARINE ENGINEER

Mylor Yacht Harbour is a thriving marina, harbour and boatyard in a beautiful location on the South Cornwall coast offering a full range of boating repair and refit services as part of our berthing, mooring and leisure facilities.

An opportunity has arisen within our Marine Team Engineering Department for an experienced Marine Engineer to join the small, friendly team to carry out maintenance, servicing and repair work on a variety of leisure and small commercial boats.

The ability to provide excellent customer service and a high standard of work is essential for this role, along with experience of marine engines and other equipment.

Mylor Yacht Harbour is a main dealer for Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Suzuki and Vetus engines so any experience in these brands would be an advantage.

Marine Engineer Position – Overview

  • Carry out mechanical and electrical servicing, fault finding and repairs to inboard and outboard engines and associated equipment.
  • Sea trial boats after repair as necessary (if not suitably qualified immediately, training will be given).
  • Work both on site at Mylor and at other boating locations nearby.
  • Maintain familiarity with current equipment, products and features, attending training when required.
  • Liaise with customers, administrators and senior engineers as required. .
  • Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Marine Engineer Position – Requirements

  • Previous marine engineering experience in a similar environment is essential (3 – 5 years).
  • Previous work or training within a main dealership organisation such as Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Suzuki or similar is favourable.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
