When you visit Cornwall you will realise that there is always something going on somewhere-a local festival, a band playing, theatre groups performing or a sailing regatta! Whatever you are into there will be something for you. Throughout the summer there are waterbased events to get involved in the biggest being Falmouth Week in August.

Events
JP Morgan Asset Management Finn Festival 2012
4th - 18th May
Royal Cornwall Yacht Club are hosting this years Finn Festival. There will be around 50-60 boats racing around Falmouth Bay providing a great spectacle from land and water.
Olympic Torch Relay
19th May
London 2012 will all be started down in Cornwall! On May 19th, the Olympic Torch will leave Lands End and go through lots of villages and towns throughout GB. Falmouth are hosting so many events on this day it is difficult to chose what to do!
Pilot Cutter World Championships
24th - 28th May
If you love watching the Falmouth Working Boats racing then this will be right up your alley! Bigger and heavier than their little cousins, the World Pilot Cutter Championships looks set to be an impressive parade of sail and bow sprits!
UK 6 metre Championships
24th - 27th May
The Royal Cornwall Yacht Club are hosting the UK 6 metre Championships this year. Mylor is going to be base to 15-20 yachts for the weekend. There will be racing throughout the weekend in the Carrick Roads and the Bay.
Fal River Festival 2012
1st - 10th June
A 10 day festival based around the beautiful River Fal with a variety of events including music, drama, arts and local heritage, gig racing and swimming and loads of other activities!
Mylor Triathlon
10th June
Mylor Triathlon is back! This popular event sees local athletes competing a relatively fast triathlon around the Mylor area. This event is always very exciting and attracts crowds of supporters to the harbour to watch the tri-athletes.
Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival 2012
15th - 17th June
Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival will have you singing and dancing through the streets. Attracting local and international choirs and singing groups, it is a unique event not to be missed!
International Shrimper and Crabber 22 Week 2012
16th - 23rd June
International Shrimper Week looks set to be an action packed week for all Shrimper owners who are coming to Mylor. The programme of activities for the week is jammed full of fun things and we are expecting to have between 80-120 boats staying with us during the week!
Kittiwake Owners Rally
26th - 30th June
The Kittiwake Owners Association meet up every year around the coast and go exploring in their beautiful boats. We are expecting a large number of Kittiwakes at the harbour to watch the J Class boats racing.
J-Class Regatta
26th - 30th June
The J's are back! The yachts, 140ft in length and weighing in at around 200 tons each will be racing all week with a crew of around 30 on each yacht. Great viewing points will be on the headlands and out on the water, but they will be racing so keep out of their way! If you cant make it down here, don't worry, the racing will be broadcast around the world!
Pendennis Cup
2nd - 7th July
Hosted by RCYC, The Pendennis Cup is a fantastic sight for everyone! Large classic yachts some over 40m in length will be racing in the bay throughout the week.
Mylor Open Event 2012
19th - 22nd July
Mylor Yacht Harbour is opening its workshop doors once again for the eagerly awaited Mylor Open Event 2012. This year is going to packed full of exhibits from marine companies all offering advise and discounts throughout the weekend.
