3 day celebration of the native Fal Oyster. Join the local oyster men on their last weekend of the season, sample some of the freshest seafood you can get, cooked by local and internationally recognised chefs, you can even take a trip out and join the fishermen on the water.

During the festival, this year held on the Price of Wales Pier in Falmouth, people are invited to see oyster fishermen in action with boat trips on the Fal. There is also a local seafood market and a chance to sample culinary delights cooked up by local chefs.

The festival is also about raising awareness of the fishery and trying to encourage younger people to get involved. “The fishery on The Fal is between 400 and 500 years old. It would be a great shame if, in two years’ time, that fishery was not there,” say local organisers.
