Happy Anniversary Falmouth Classics, we’re proud to be sponsors of the event again this year!
This year marks the 30th anniversary for one of the largest classic sailing events in the UK!!!
Falmouth Classics regatta sees 3 days of great sailing on the idyllic waters of the Fal and Falmouth Bay and shore side music and fun.
2016 had 174 participating Gaffers, Luggers and Bermudan rigged vessels from all around the South West and elsewhere in the UK, France and the Netherlands.
The small boat parade on Sunday afternoon introduced in 2016 is to be continued and a new venture for 2017 will be the Maritime Village, a dedicated area on Custom House Quay and will showcase traditional marine skills and marine related exhibitors. Currently booked is Falmouth Marine School, who will be demonstrating traditional boatbuilding skills and promoting their courses, and the Britannia Trust who are seeking to rebuild the large Kings Lynn built fishing smack Britannia, currently ashore at Gweek.

Furthermore, 2017 is the 150th anniversary of the RNLI in Falmouth, which is hugely significant and will be celebrated alongside the Classics.
The Classics, supported by the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club, once again runs concurrently with the very popular International Sea Shanty Festival, 54 groups last year and there may be even more in 2017.
