Falmouth Classics 2019

Falmouth Classics Regatta in Cornwall

The largest classic sailing event in the UK, Falmouth Classics Regatta sees 3 days of great sailing on the idyllic waters of the Fal Estuary and Falmouth Bay.

The regatta is accompanied by an array of shore side music and fun and the increasingly popular International Sea Shanty Festival which runs concurrently combining to make a great atmosphere both on and off the water!

This annual gathering of classic and heritage vessels, Gaffers, Luggers and Bermudan rigged boats in Falmouth attracts classic cruisers, racers and working boats for a weekend of racing topped off, as always, by a spectacular parade of sail in the Carrick Roads – well worth a look.

Where to Watch>
Good places to watch the racing will be Pendennis Point, Trefusis Point, Castle Drive, the coastal footpath between Place and St Anthony’s Lighthouse and St Mawes Castle. The Parade of Sail can best be watched from Castle Drive, Pendennis Point, Pendennis Castle and St Mawes Castle.

Trefusis Head can be accessed via a coastal footpath from Mylor Harbour – Take a look>
