World Pasty Championship

Saturday, 28 February, 2015

Celebrate a few days ahead of St Piran’s Day and even enter your own pasty!

The World Pasty Championships will celebrate the traditional Cornish pasty recipe, as well as some more unusual varieties. From the Americas to Australia, pasties derived from recipes passed down by Cornish emigrants over centuries are eaten and enjoyed by many millions of people. We invite entries from around the world to our Championships.

The Fisherman’s Friends are to top the bill at the World Pasty Championships to be held at the Eden Project on Saturday February 28, 2015. This will be the fourth year of the championships – also known as the Olympics of the Oggy – and organisers see the appearance of the acclaimed eight-man folk group as a major coup.

Categories
There are eight categories in all, with the opportunity to enter a traditional Cornish pasty or an alternative savoury pasty.
