Customer Update from Mylor Yacht Harbour 11.05.20

In line with the latest Government advice issued yesterday, Mylor Yacht Harbour will now start a phased return to operations where we can operate safely and observe correct social distancing for both customers and staff.

As from Tuesday 12th May, we will recommence boat launching and will also start working to prepare boats to be ready to go in the water. The relaunch schedule will be picked up from where we left off in March and every customer that has a relaunch already booked, if you have not been contacted already,  our Yard Administrator will be in contact in the next few days to discuss what work (if any) needs to be done along with a revised launch date.

If you have already been in contacted and you have indicated that your boat is ready to launch, we will start launching these boats in the same order as originally booked. If you have indicated that you need to do some work on your boat before it is launched, please advise us when this is complete and your boat will be added to the relaunch schedule in the next available slot.

The launch schedule may be a bit of a moveable feast this year due to changing requirements but we will endeavour to get all work done and everyone in the water as soon as possible. However, please bear with us if we can’t be completely precise as to the time frame at this point but this will certainly become clearer as we catch up with work.

The offices at this point will remain closed but staff will be taking phone calls and answering emails so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries 01326 372121 or enquiries@mylor.com

The parts showroom will remain closed but if you need any parts or spares we will be operating our own version of a ‘click & collect’ service where if you phone Nathan on 01326 372121 or email parts@mylor.com he will arrange a time when parts can be picked up safely.

Mylor Chandlery are also operating a similar service for chandlery items – please call 01326 375482 or email sales@mylorchandlery.co.uk for more information.

The water taxi and fuel service will start to operate shortly and we will advise further as these and other services are back in action.

If you do come down to the Harbour, please observe and respect any social distancing measures in place and keep 2m away from everyone else where appropriate. We’re all keen to get back to normal as soon as possible but still want to do our bit to minimise any risk of transmission of the virus so whilst It’s not quite business as usual, it’s a step in the right direction.

We will, of course, keep everyone updated as things evolve and when there are changes in the Government’s advice relating to boating and we certainly hope to be operating more normally as further restrictions are lifted. In the meantime, please stay safe and we look forward to seeing everyone enjoying the full services at Mylor Yacht Harbour as soon as possible.
