Full steam ahead at Mylor Yacht Harbour
During the Falmouth Classics weekend we welcomed the Steamboat Association and their beautiful boats into our marina.
Having been invited to take part in the Classic’s for the first time, these stunning classic vessels made an eye catching addition to our marina but also Falmouth Bay during the popular parade of sail during Falmouth Classic regatta.
Alan David, SBA event organiser commented:
“I first experienced Mylor Marina 45 years ago when we charted a Westerly Pageant based there. I was very impressed by the setting and outstanding beauty of the estuary and have been a regular visitor since. During this time I have watched Mylor’s facilities expand to the magnificent organisation it is today . Marina staff are very helpful and the site has everything a yachtsman could wish for plus superb catering facilities on site ,Yacht Club and bar. Spotless toilets and showers all this with miles of sheltered waterway makes it the perfect venue for inshore and deep water sailors.”
Nigel Cooper, Steamboat owner:
“Once again the Mylor Harbour provided excellent support for our Steam Boat Regatta on the River Fal. The staff certainly went the extra mile to support our event, this location is now becoming a favourite among the Steam Boat Community. The whole event went ahead very smoothly and we will be back next year. Thank you to all the Mylor Staff.”
