HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY MARINE TEAM!

One year on and the Marine Team is going from strength to strength having worked on some exciting projects over the past year.
By uniting Mylor’s engineering and boatyard services under one banner ‘Marine Team’, Mylor Yacht Harbour has aligned its services to provide a fully integrated boatyard to enhance its efficiency, projects management capabilities, aftercare service and value to its customers.

The wealth of experience and expertise in marine power stemming from Terry Percival’s Marine Trak days, the Marine Team engineering department is well placed to offer a swift and efficient service. They also have the benefit of the greater part of the old Cygnus Marine workforce in the GRP and shipwright departments to support the engineers on fitting the new units into the boats.

Henry Goldsmith, Marine Team Project Manager explains:

“Our highly skilled and experienced engineers, electricians, shipwrights, fabricators and painters cover the full spectrum of techniques, materials and boats – from traditional to modern. Whereas previously this was dispersed across several different departments within Mylor Yacht Harbour, we have now brought these skills together for the first time within one organisation”.

As well as working closely with customers on job quotes and general technical enquiries more often than not Spike can be seen taking a hands on role manoeuvering vessels up and down the valley or hauling out or launching vessels using the hoist.

Galcadora henryHenry Goldsmith: Project Manager
Henry brings an abundance of energy and enthusiasm to the team. His love of boats and experience as a traditional boat builder means he is able to provide a vast level of knowledge and understanding when communicating to customers about the work carried out on their boats. His role as project manager means he is responsible for coordinating with all Marine Team departments, bringing together each element of larger refit projects seamlessly as well as forming a key single point of contact for the customer.
