Mylor in finals for British Marina of the Year 2019
Mylor Yacht Harbour’s exceptional facilities set amid some of the best sailing waters in the world have placed it among the six top marinas in the country – the only one in Cornwall – to reach the final of the British Yachting Awards “Marina of the Year 2019”.
The awards, to be held on Monday 2nd December at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in London, celebrate the best the sailing industry has to offer and they are the only sailing awards whose winners are voted entirely by consumers.
“We’re really proud that the organisers of the British Yachting Awards have acknowledged Mylor Yacht Harbour among their top six marinas,” says Managing Director Neil Salter.
“The next stage – the crowning of an overall winner – will be decided by the votes of our customers.
“We genuinely love what we do here at Mylor and that’s reflected in the service we provide to our customers and visitors and the feedback we get is that our customers appreciate the friendly professionalism and first-rate facilities we offer in this beautiful part of the world.”
Mylor Yacht Harbour, with its contemporary marina, full-service boatyard, eateries and luxury holiday cottages, combines state of the art facilities with an illustrious maritime history – all set at the heart of the scenic and sheltered waterways of the Carrick Roads on the south Cornish coast.
In its designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty it provides the peaceful haven for yachts and fishing craft, transatlantic voyagers and day cruisers as well as a keenly competitive racing community.
Visiting yachtsmen and women find a friendly welcome from marina staff and expertise on-hand from Mylor’s Marine Team of boatyard specialists who cater for all mechanical and service requirements.
Mylor Yacht Harbour joins Largs, Suffolk, Weymouth, Poole and Eastbourne as finalists in the Marina of the Year category which honours “the marinas which go above and beyond in their offering to the sailing community… and provide the best onshore facilities, warm welcomes and options for sailors.”
