Today we wish Cora, our fantastic Receptionist, a long and happy retirement. She`s been the welcoming face of Mylor Yacht Harbour on the front desk for more than 23 years and deserves a well-earned break. Thank you Cora for being an absolute ray of sunshine, for being relentlessly positive and for always having a smile on your face. It`s been a pleasure working with you and we’ll miss you a lot.

Yesterday was Mylor Yacht Harbour`s Christmas jumper and charity fund raising day and this year we not only had Christmas jumpers but also bacon sandwiches, penguins and singing and dancing. Thank you to our customers, the team and the businesses on site who helped us raise over £1,000 for the Little Harbour Children`s Hospice, an amazing organisation supporting families in Cornwall. It`s still not too late to donate! Please call us on 01326 372121 or drop in the office and the team will happily relieve you of your cash (or card) in support of Little Harbour.

Falling in the water is an occupational hazard whilst working on a marina so we asked Dan Hughes of Vitae Vi to help us with some training in cold water immersion. An experienced marine professional and a Breathwork and Wim Hof Method Instructor, he provided really engaging training sessions and some excellent skills in cold water survival should any of our team find themselves unexpectedly in the sea. After jumping in the marina during the practical sessions, there was also the opportunity to try the ice bath and experience some properly cold water to fine tune the breathing techniques. The only question that arose was why we chose to do it in December and not in August…..
