Customer Update from Mylor Yacht Harbour

Without wanting to simply add to the amount of information we’re all seeing with regard to Coronavirus at the moment, I thought it would be a good idea to inform you about what’s happening at Mylor Yacht Harbour.

Currently, we are taking all the sensible precautions we can and following Government and Public Health advice and restricting all non-essential business travel and site meetings. We’re all washing hands, using sanitiser and keeping social distances. Hopefully, that will be enough for now at least and as of today, all services are operating as normal.

However, in the interests of protecting you and your family’s health as well, if you are visiting your boat, please consider whether dropping in to the office is essential or whether we can help with anything by phone or email first. Additionally, if you would rather not travel to site but there is something we can do or check on for you, please do not hesitate to call or email us for this or any other concerns.

In the event that things do escalate, we have contingency plans to operate the harbour as best as possible with reduced staffing but clearly, if it gets to the stage where we have to reduce or postpone services, there will also be a much wider issue in the local community as well.

We will ensure that we communicate any changes in the service situation with all customers but let’s hope that we don’t have to implement anything too significant. We’ll be closely monitoring the situation over the next few weeks, following the advice given by the authorities and adapting what we do to suit.

In the meantime though, it’s business as close as possible to usual but I thought I’d at least communicate what’s going on at this stage. It’s uncharted waters for us all and a situation that may change on a daily basis but we’ll do what we can, when we can to try and maintain services and let you know if there are any significant issues. As always, we’re here to help and if you have any questions, please let me know.

Best regards
