“First class workmanship” for Serene

Martin Gilbert and the crew of Serene, a 10m Gemini Catamaran fishing vessel, left Mylor Yacht Harbour last month after a full deck refit and safety upgrades carried out by our Marine Team GRP technicians. You can see from their faces that the crew were glad to be back on the water.

“I’m very happy with the works completed by the team at Mylor. The GRP guys have a lot of knowledge and experience when it comes to boat building and talk you through every step of the project. The Marine Team provide first class workmanship which is something we’ve come to expect from them.” Said Martin Gilbert.

Serene is one of two commercial fishing vessels owned by Martin that operate out of Newquay Harbour and fish on the north coast for shellfish, crab and lobster. With her plywood decks replaced with Nidaplast decking and non-slip coatings, new GRP deck hatches and customised bulwark with MOB recovery gate, Serene was looking in great shape and ready to get back to work when craned back into the water from Mylor’s quayside.
