FALMOUTH INTERNATIONAL SEA SHANTY FESTIVAL 2022

The largest free nautical music festival in the world is held across many venues in Falmouth and attracts over 65,000 visitors who enjoy over 50 shanty groups.
The festival’s aim is to keep history of the sea alive through participants experiencing shanties from a by-gone era, songs harking back to the days of trading under sail. Overall, this is a celebration of all things nautical which is thrown in to context with the Falmouth Classic (regatta) event running simultaneously, featuring over 90 wooden traditional and classic sailing boats to give visitors a visual feast.
