Purchasing & Sales Support

Permanent / Full time.
Salary £19K p/a

An opportunity has arisen to join the team at Mylor Yacht Harbour as support to the Purchasing and Sales section of our marine services department.

The role includes:

  • Sourcing and purchasing of materials
  • Maintaining the stock system
  • Keeping the stores organised
  • Processing deliveries
  • Serving retail customers
  • Supporting the Purchasing & Sales Supervisor.

Hours of work are 8.00am to – 4.30pm Monday to Friday during the winter and Tuesday to Saturday during the summer.

Essential requirements for this position are an ability to deliver outstanding customer service, good computer literacy and the capability to develop customer and supplier relationships. The successful candidate will also be a good communicator, well organised and friendly and helpful. A good knowledge of boats and boating would be a clear advantage but training will be provided to the right candidate.

Harbour Receptionist

Full time – 37.5 hours per week (Sunday – Thursday)
Salary £19k p/a

An opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist to join our busy front of house team.
As the reception desk is often the first port of call for any general enquiry with customer satisfaction at the forefront of what we do, you will ensure our guests receive a warm welcome and the highest standard of customer service as soon as they set foot through our doors.

The role includes:

  • Meet and greet visitors to the office
  • Answer incoming calls, redirect where necessary and circulate messages to the right people
  • Enter timesheets on to our in-house system
  • Deal with initial enquiries relating to the marina, moorings or service departments
  • Make and process reservations for our self-catering holiday properties
  • Check in and check out our holiday property guests
  • Organise and sort incoming and outgoing post
  • Order and maintain stock of stationery items
  • Take the lead on looking after all aspects of reception.

Who we’re looking for:

  • The ideal candidate will be professional and happy to provide support to other administrators and departments as and when required.
  • You will be a motivated receptionist with a passion for making guests feel welcome and the ability for building effective relationships with customers and staff.
  • Knowledge of the marine industry, boats and leisure craft is desirable but not essential for this role.

Mylor Yacht Harbour’s passionate housekeeping team are seeking a new housekeeper / cleaner to join them in bringing wonderful experiences to our guests. This is a permanent position offering year-round employment on a part-time basis.

The successful candidate will need to be a motivated and friendly person with good customer care skills and a keen eye for attention to detail.

The role includes:

  • Cleaning of the company offices, front of house areas and kitchens
  • Onsite shower block and public toilets
  • Weekly turn around, cleaning and presentation of our 4* self-catering holiday properties.

This permanent position is a regular 2 days per week, Thursday and Friday, with a minimum of 14 hours per week. Some flexibility is preferred, to assist with covering holiday and additional hours at busy times.

Some lone working may be required as well working alongside our 3 other housekeeping team members. Experience in a similar role is essential, as well high standards and an eye for detail.

There is no direct public transport to Mylor Yacht Harbour and we are about 3.5 miles from Penryn so having your own transport is important.
