Mylor Yacht Harbour’s Marine Team Engineering Department provides marine engine servicing, repairs, maintenance and fault finding to the leisure and small commercial market for both inboard and outboard diesel and petrol engines.

An opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced Marine Engineer to join the small, friendly team carrying out work on mainly Yanmar, Perkins, Suzuki and Vetus engines for which Marine Team are main dealers and also Volvo Penta, JCB and other engines.

This is a hands-on servicing and repair role so attention to detail and excellent customer service are essential requirements, as is a good level of engineering experience in the same or a very similar field. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a practical understanding of leisure and small commercial boat engine maintenance and an ability to work efficiently as part of a small team.

Mylor Yacht Harbour is a centre of excellence for the care and restoration of yachts and motor boats, as well as being one of the most prestigious facilities to keep a boat on a marina berth or swinging mooring in the south west. An opportunity has arisen to join our marina team as a Marina Assistant.

The key elements of this role are:

  • Delivering outstanding customer service and satisfaction
  • Assisting the yard team during the launching and lifting seasons
  • Lifting and stacking chocks and blocks
  • Moving and helping with the towing of customers’ boats
  • Helping customers into their berths
  • Listening for and responding to any calls on the VHF
  • Serving fuel
  • Servicing moorings
  • Creating invoices and taking payment
  • Resolving all manner of general enquiries
  • Carrying out general maintenance to the marina

Previous relevant experience is desirable but good practical skills, an understanding of boats and the ability to deliver great service are essential. Full job description is available on request.

We are looking for a friendly, professional and organised person to join our team as Car Park Attendant.
The key elements of this role are:

  • Delivering outstanding customer service
  • Greeting visitors to the site and directing as required
  • Patrolling the site and assisting customers
  • Issuing and checking car and trailer permits
  • Maintaining traffic flow through the site
  • Managing and maximising available space for cars and trailers
  • Tidying and organising the site
  • Resolving all manner of general enquiries.
