Volvo Penta D6 380 Twin Engine Installation and Repower
Our marine engineers have expertly lifted two Volvo Penta D6 380’s into their engine bays, that have been specifically modified to house these large commercial diesel engines to fit perfectly within the space. Consideration was given to the design of each engine bay in relation to future servicing and maintenance, allowing easy accessibility and practicality.
With expert precision, the team work closely together to manoeuvre the engines into position and onto the specially designed engine bearers that have steel tapping plates encapsulated in the fibreglass for each engine to be bolted to providing added protection from atmospheric corrosion.
Now in place the remaining part of the engine installation can take place.
