Celebrating the start of the oyster dredging season, which is still carried out in Falmouth Bay in the traditional way using sail and hand punt, the Oyster Festival has become a highlight of Falmouth’s calendar.

Cookery demonstrations using local seafood, the now legendary Hot Chefs Challenge and live music are central parts of the festival; enhanced with the craft fair and all washed down with local oysters, local ale and cider. On Sunday, the Falmouth Working Boats will race in Falmouth Bay with a prize-giving and sea shanties later in the afternoon.
