Polo on the Beach

Watergate Bay’s biggest event, award-winning Aspall Polo on the Beach, is back for a tenth year!
The event attracts thousands of people each year to watch a showcase of world-class polo, equestrian displays and family entertainment.
On Friday 19 and Saturday 20 May there will be two main polo matches played which are free to attend at 6.30pm. Friday’s match will feature Cornwall vs Rest of World and Saturday’s match will be the main Aspall trophy match will see some of the country’s best polo players take part.
Sunday 21 May will see the return of the family dog show run by St Francis Home for Animals, at 10.30am.
In addition to the polo matches there will be lots of arena entertainment including a horse jousting and stunt display, polo demonstrations and Segway polo. Beach entertainment will include lots to do for the family, Segway taster sessions and delicious food and drink.
On Friday night following the trophy presentations there will be live music and a firework display as well as an Argentinean Asado barbecue (tickets on sale). On Saturday the Polo on the Beach party returns will three headline acts including local musician Ruarri Joseph and his band William The Conqueror, Flats & Sharps and Molotov Jukebox.
