Sailors get ready to compete with a Racing Scrub at Mylor Yacht Harbour

Falmouth Week is a fantastic annual event, with a packed schedule of on-the-water action to accompany a variety of shore-side entertainment, including parades, parties and performances.

A highlight of the Cornish racing calendar, locals and visitors compete in the week-long regatta, hosted by a different local sailing club each day.

To ensure their boats are in top racing form, many competitors chose to book a Racing Scrub at Mylor Yacht Harbour in the run up to the start of Falmouth Week.

We spoke to two of our recent Racing Scrub customers, to find out more about their thoughts for Falmouth Week…

Boat name Omerta

Type Archambault A31

Owner Rupert Tildesley

“This is our first year berthing the boat in Mylor and we have been very impressed with the facilities and the level of service offered. It is a fantastic set-up, the staff are all very courteous and helpful and it is run in a very professional and efficient manner.

We have been in preparation for Falmouth Week; you don’t even need to be near the boat or the pontoon to get it done – the guys tow it in, hoist it, pressure wash it and return it to the mooring. Very slick.”

Boat name Pisces

Type Hallberg Rassy 34

Owner Richard Barker

There will be a few salty old sea dogs on board Pisces for Falmouth Week and she’ll be fast after her super clean off at Mylor Yacht Services today! Thanks to the team at MYH.

The team at Mylor have been keeping an eye on all of our customers taking part in Falmouth Week, we look forward to seeing the final results!
