Visit Cornwall in the autumn

Autumn Getaways

Autumn is always a great time to visit Cornwall. The summer crowds are starting to leave, the footpaths and beaches are a little quieter and the whole county heaves a sigh of relief and reminisces of the busy summer that has just passed.

Still so much to enjoy

The sea that has been warmed over the summer months provides a great opportunity for those last swims of the year and the harvest evenings are perfect for relaxing barbecues and watching the beautiful sunsets.

The farmers markets and local craft fairs are still going on in the towns and villages and thoughts go to the Oyster Festival where locals and visitors join to celebrate the beginning of the oyster fishing season on the Fal. Even if you are not a fan of oysters or seafood there is music and entertainment throughout the weekend to suit everybody, young and young at heart!
